Action Research Plan

Goal: Increase parent collaboration by 20% with teachers every month for student academic success.

Objective: To create Parent Partnerships to increase student homework completion rates and class participation.

  1. Carrie I like your action research plan. I believe that it is not going to be an easy task because our parental involvemnt is not the greatest either. I like the idea that you are planning to provide child care during the meetings with parents. That will help those parents knowing that they can take their little ones and they will be taken care of during the meeting. One suggestion would be to maybe include home visits as a way to entice your parents to attend these very important meetings. Our school uses home visits quite a bit and parents seem to appreciate the extra time that their childrens' teachers and administrators take to go to their homes and let them know how important it is for them and thier children to believe in a certain program the school is working on.
